About
SHIVA THE
DESTROYER

Hello, and welcome to my site! I do not believe you are here by accident, as “Chance is but a name for Laws unseen”. Perhaps you came here because you were searching for something. A lyric, some inspiration, or possibly a little guidance. I am not sure what brought you to my webpage, but I can tell you why I set it up. At a time where it feels like the world is breeding chaos at an unprecedented rate, I create and share music in order to express myself. I also hope that, through my example, it will empower others who choose to listen as well.
I gain so much joy from making songs and I truly believe it's one small way in which I can help make this world a better place. I have loved hip hop since I was a kid, but I only started rapping at the age of 24 while serving a 23 month jail sentence in PICC - Philadelphia’s most notorious county jail. Prior to taking a plea bargain, I was a medical student at Drexel University. However, a misdiagnosis of my mental illness led to wrong medication being prescribed which, in turn, triggered a manic episode that culminated in an armed robbery. While incarcerated, I learned many valuable lessons, including the importance of building character and developing integrity, as well as the power of positive thinking. These lessons were pivotal in helping me endure the 13 psychiatric hospitalizations that occurred since my release from jail in 2015.
In 2020, I released my first EP titled “The Mandela Effect”, followed by another EP “Divinorum” in 2022. My latest project “Dark Night of the Soul” is my very first LP and has been in the works for quite some time now as I work on improving my craft more each day. In an age of AI, I strive to maintain my originality in the hopes that it will resonate with others who are also on the path to becoming more of themselves as well. You can find most of my released music under my previous artist name “Rx Mundi”, however, the name “Shiva the Destroyer” was given to me during what can only be described as the strangest night of my life (to date) that took place in Bethlehem, PA…
“Dark Night of the Soul” is my sonic description of that night, which I hope will translate into healing for others who may have endured trauma as well. Thank you for reading this far, and make sure to subscribe to my youtube channel as well as my email list for all the latest bars/music/updates!
